A monster turd has gone viral on Twitter after it was found by an unfortunate soul who dared venture into the toilets at a motorway services.

Twitter user @miller_element shared a revolting image of the bowel-splitter yesterday afternoon (Thursday, May 25).

He asked the internet: "How is that even humanly possible?"

He said he discovered the beastly poo at Sedgemoor services, located on the M5 near the village of Rooks Bridge in Somerset, and invited people to visit and "investigate".

The tweet didn't reveal whether it was on the northbound or southbound side.

In the image, the turd almost reaches the entire length of the toilet basin, holding its shape in an impressive manner.

It appears to be simply too girthy to fit down the hole, meaning whoever it came out of was forced to ditch the log and run.

Twitter user @miller_element also shared a POV video of him walking through the toilets and up to the poo, proving to doubters that it wasn't just a normal-sized turd enlarged on photoshop.

His original tweet has more than 11,000 likes and 1,500 retweets.

An unblurred image of the bowel-splitter is coming soon - beware!

Twitter users were quick to react, including YouTube star turned boxer KSI who appeared to claim responsibility for it. He wrote: "My bad."

Another reply read: "Unfeasible girth! Looks like Colin The Caterpillar."

A third person said: "Someone was at the hospital after this getting stitched up."

You were warned - here it is...

A fourth said: "I mean it started in Sedgemoor services, but it finishes somewhere else!"

Others posited theories as to who, or what, the behemoth came from. One guess read: "Nah, there's a horse shapeshifting as a human running around."

Several people blamed Stan Marsh's dad from South Park in reference to episode nine of the animated series' 11th season in which he produces a world record turd.
